We can currently only ship alcohol to Alberta and Manitoba. As per Canadian Customs advice, for all shipments to Canada the recipient and purchaser must be the same person and a parcel cannot be sent as a gift. This means your shipping and billing address details must be the same.
Please note we can send a maximum of 10 bottles per parcel to Canada. This means that the cost of delivery will reset once the limit of ten bottles has been reached. For example, the delivery cost of eleven bottles will be calculated by the cost of ten bottles plus the cost of one bottle.

Additional Requirements
For shipments with total value of 5,000 MOP or more:
- Declaration must be provided to DHL prior to shipment arrival in Macau
- Shipper must liaise with the Receiver to ensure declaration is completed/provided
- Receiver should prepare and provide completed declaration to DHL Macau directly or request DHL fee-based services
- Without declaration, the shipment may be returned without further notice if no response is received from the Receiver within 5 working days of the shipment arrival.
Customs Authorities require license/certificate for alcoholic beverages with a strength over 29% abv. Documents must be provided to DHL prior to shipment arrival in Macau.
We are unable to ship any products over 60% abv.

Reduce & Recycle
During checkout you have the option to choose our Reduce & Recycle service. Many of our products come in a gift carton, tube or box, which can be difficult to pack safely and difficult to recycle at home. By choosing not to receive this outer packaging you can save paper, reduce carbon emissions and save time at the recycling centre. Just let us know during checkout if you’d prefer not to receive any unnecessary packaging by ticking the box – and don’t worry, we won’t dismantle any gift packs you’ve ordered!
Please note: any recyclable boxes, cartons or tubes that we remove are sent for recycling immediately and so cannot be provided after your original order has been dispatched. For items with RRP greater than £150, packaging is retained for a short time in case of returns.
Safe Hands
During checkout you will have the opportunity to add Safe Hands to qualifying purchases. This is our optional service that entitles you to no quibble replacements, refunds, and returns if there is an issue with your delivery – giving you complete peace of mind for your purchase. The cost of the service is 3% of your order total (excluding delivery).
Terms:
- Full Replacement: No quibble replacement for any lost deliveries reported within 72 hours of expected delivery
- Full Replacement: No quibble replacement for any items damaged in delivery
- Full Refund: If we are unable to replace your items from stock, we will issue a full refund to your card within 7 days
Not covered:
- Accidental damage after delivery of items
- Personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements, or in instances where the seal is broken, are non-refundable unless faulty.
Prohibited delivery
- In the United States of America, we can only deliver to selected states. More information
- In Canada, we can only deliver alcohol to Alberta and Manitoba.
- We regret that we are unable to ship to Tenerife due to restrictions on alcohol delivery.
- PO boxes are not acceptable for delivery purposes.
- Schools are not acceptable addresses due to the nature of the contents of the packages.
- We cannot deliver to military bases.
Additional delivery notes:
- Delivery is calculated per bottle, where a standard bottle is assumed to weigh 1.75kg. Please note that delivery for some larger items may cost more due to additional weight or packaging requirements.
- We do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday unless by special arrangement.
- Overseas deliveries require a lead-time of 7-10 working days for all orders. If you have not received your goods within 21 days please contact us immediately.
- We cannot arrange for packages to be insured at extra cost although we do offer a Guaranteed Delivery service – please contact us for a quotation.
- We require someone of legal age under local licensing laws to be present at the delivery address to sign for acceptance of the goods. Goods are dispatched by a third party courier and their terms and conditions apply.
- The Whisky Shop will have paid the full amount of UK Excise Duty on all goods shipped to international markets. The customer is wholly responsible for any and all local customs and import duties and taxes attaching to the goods shipped. The customer warrants and represents to The Whisky Shop that there are no import restrictions applying to our goods and that all such goods shipped to the customer are being legally imported to the customer’s local market, tax and duty paid. The customer shall indemnify The Whisky Shop from and against the costs of any claim against The Whisky Shop arising from a breach of the customer’s warranty as stated above.
- The Whisky Shop, where appropriate, will complete a customs declaration form declaring ‘Specialist Malt Whisky, No Commercial Value’ and stating replacement value. Prices shown are inclusive of VAT at 20%, which may be deducted for non-UK countries. However, customers may be liable for taxes/duties in their own countries.
- Whisky is sent entirely at the customers own risk as we are unable to guarantee safe delivery.
